This pad should create more than enough heat for anyone. At the maximum setting of 6, it produces between 100 and 104 degrees of surface heat in the open air while lying on a table. I moved an infrared thermometer across the edges and diagonally across the surface in the video below. I think I strayed off the edge of the heating elements in a couple of places. It is reasonably uniform in temperature. Of course, if you wrap your 98.6-degree body with a heating pad this hot, you are likely to find it to be uncomfortably hot. The temperature in the center is about 104 degrees F and it heats from about 85 degrees at the edge to about 98 degrees at the first row of perforations. So you can look at the various colors to get an idea of the temperature uniformity. Each color represents a different temperature range. This pad is considerably bigger than most heating pads. This appears to be very well built and I like the soft brown velour surface. The extra size is useful for me to be able to wrap it around my neck and shoulders.
