A supplement worth trying - I saw decided improvement, less pain & more discernible agility in a Senior cat ~
The Senior Cat died just over a month ago aged 18. The vet had recommended Dasuquin as she became increasingly arthriticky even after years on that other 'quin' product - Cosequin. From aged 14 onwards, she was on one Dasuqin daily: I opened the capsule and mixed it in with the wet food and it was never refused. Now who knows if Dasuquin made a real difference or not? All I know is that as a doting owner, I won't quibble if I'm informed that a supplement MAY help but rather, I did what most of us who dote on our pet would do: unhesitatingly plunk down the money and hope it adds to our animal's quality and longevity of life. I changed to buying it from this source because it was much less expensive than getting it via the vet. It took a few months to work fully, but I could see (or thought I could see - same thing, really!) a slight though distinct improvement in the Senior Cat's comfort. She moved less stiffly after a while and this wasn't my imagination since her comfortable quarters were located upstairs and it meant several trips up and down stairs daily to access her Room and Board facilities. Over time, she dragged her back leg less and seemed to get up and move around with far less discomfort. I'm convinced the regular and daily use of Dasuquin made her life during those last years somewhat less painful due to old bones and arthritis. I continued it as part of her daily food routine. The only other supplements she got was the occasional hairball/tartar control snacks and a daily vitamin powder made for Dogs, Cats and Horses. That's it. No treats. Now I'm the least gullible person but when it comes to my pets, I'm gullible as Gomer Pyle and will try anything to make them content and easy. The Scottish Fold lifespan is usually 13-15 years so I suppose I should take comfort in that, at least. I would encourage anyone reading this to try the Dasuquin after checking with your Vet first and even BUYING it from them at the start to level the playing field in favour of smaller, local businesses. I wish I'd had the financial wherewithal to put money where mouth is and had bought Dasuquin from my Vet instead, but having a pet is also a serious financial commitment that needs budgeting if you're someone other than Charlie Munger! Everyone reading this knows - and if you don't, you should - that the time will come (if you're lucky and your animal lives long and well!) when your beloved pet is beyond the help of any supplement, tincture or medication. There's no panacea for that loss. But while they're alive and under your care, I can say with a good deal of certainty that Dasuquin can play its part in keeping them more comfortable and ambulatory than not. Such has been my experience with Dasuquin. Thank-you for reading this review - I trust it's been useful to you ~
