I don't get it. At all. Because I'm 38 and middled aged and getting closer and closer to the 'get off my lawn' phase every day. But my 4 year old twins are obsessed with these hatchimals. I ordered them not even knowing how to work them but as soon as we got them my kids ripped the package open and started rubbing the heart on the eggs. I was completely dumbfounded as to why they were doing it. But oddly intrigued. Then, out of nowhere the heart changed colors. Now they had my full attention. Then they each put an egg in their hands and closed their fists around the eggs and rolled them around in their hands. At this point I felt like I was in Vegas. They then opened their hands and each slapped their egg and, if I'm lying I'm dying, it hatched. And out came some tiny figurine. I literally felt like I had just watched a magic show. And I am now as obsessed with these silly things as my kids are. And for my magic trick I will step on one of the figurines and break an ankle. And I won't care. Cause I'll have my hatchimals to play with in my hospital bed to keep me entertained! Totally worth the hype!
