I am a real estate appraiser and bought this to measure the interior and exterior of houses. This is one of the less expensive models, so it does not work perfectly all the time, however it is good for light measuring. It is supposed to work up to 65’ feet, however I have found that any distance beyond about 40’ can be difficult to get, especially in larger buildings. The accuracy of the measurements is very good though. If you want/need to do some light measuring without buying a high end tool, this is a great option! However, if you are measuring large spaces and distances, it may be worth the investment to buy a higher end model.
