I use this stand ever day, it's a simple well built and highly "flexible" stand that allows for many configurations are you can see in the stock photos. However, I just use it in the upright stand stance. The stand is sturdy and I have no fear that it would ever fail to hold up my device or cause it any damage. Although I had originally purchase it for my iPhone 6+ and 7" Asus tablet (ME572), I find that I use it the most as a stand for my Thinkpad X1 Carbon 14" laptop. Although this is not it's advertised and intended function, I find that it works great in that application and allows the laptop to take up very little space on a crowded dining table :). The laptop is under 3lbs in case you are wondering, and the stand stands firm without busting a sweat. Overall, this stand is a great value. The $9.99 I had spend on it was well worth it, and I bought one more to use exclusively with the phone/tablet. Feel free to ask any questions you might have about the product, I am happy to help.
