I Learned a Lot!
This was one of the most touching movies I have ever seen--probably because it was based on a true story. It was a good thing that I had a box of Kleenex next to me because I needed them after the first 10 minutes of the movie. I think I must have cried during the whole movie, making my eyes so sore I can hardly stand to touch them now. But it was worth the tears because besides being a touching story, it was also very educational. Until this movie I never thought about how a deceased military person was transported and what all the body had to go through before it even reached its destination. Even though my husband is retired military, I learned a lot watching this story. I guess because I never thought to ask him questions about the things that was shown in this movie. Now that I have watched it I have asked my husband about the way this story unfolded--and he confirmed that this is the way it is.
I have seen Kevin Bacon in a lot of good movies before but I think that this is the best part he has ever played--he was so perfect and believable in it--I could really feel his heart in the part that he played.
This movie was out of my norm because I usually pick movies that make me laugh--comedies, but I am glad that I watched this one tonight.
