I can't deny that paper towels are my creature comfort. I am a stay at home mother, and live half my life in the kitchen, or cleaning spills, and 3 boys. I could not find my rolls of paper towels, so I just had to have something! I tried these, and paired them with a lovely wire n wood basket to look good in my kitchen. I am absolutely in love with them. They are actually more gentle on my hands than roll paper towels. I have used them for everything under the sun for three days running and have only used a half of package! I have fried things, and had these catch the oil without getting frayed or coming apart. I have cleaned my counters, and my windows, and picked up water near my dishwasher successfully. I love these a lot and plan to continue ordering them. I do plan to get another basket so I can put a few in my guest bathroom. These don't smell, and they have a bit of texture to them if you are wondering. I am a picky person, and these fully satisfy my needs.
