I bought these gloves specifically to keep my hands warm in very cold weather (0-20) degrees) and was led to believe by the advertising that they were effective up to -30 degrees. Imagine my disappointment when the first two times I wore them in cold weather my hands stayed cold for approximately 30 minutes. Then, I noticed something surprising. My hands grew warmer the longer I wore them! So, I decided to experiment. I stuck the gloves on the furnace vent for a minute or two to get them warm before heading out into the cold. Guess what? It worked like a charm. My hands were quite warm for the entire time I was outdoors. So, I'm guessing it has something to do with the material or how they are constructed. In any case, after initially thinking that I was going to have to return these gloves, I'm now very happy with them. That's my story, and I'm sticking to it.
