Start with a good roast, corse ground, and this brew system worked great. I use it for ice coffee. I let it brew 24 hours. The metal base is Sharp, as the company stated. Be careful cleaning it. Use a wooden spoon to stir the finished coffee. Like a French press, metal spoons can break the glass. Note: if your seal(s) are crooked looking, this it due to shipping in cold weather. Just run under warm water, dry, and they should fit nicely.
