This blanket is lovely, and probably the softest thing I've ever touched! Shedding-wise - here's how I wash it, and I have zero shedding issues: Wash blanket without any other items in the wash, and on a cold wash. Then hang it out to dry instead of putting it in a dryer. It actually dries surprisingly quickly. Doing it this way, there is no shedding at all, and the blanket maintains it's softness. I have definitely had similar problems in the past that other reviewers have had in regards to shedding, but I've found this is largely to do with mixing the blanket with other things in the wash, and then putting it in the dryer. If you follow the instructions above, hopefully that shouldn't be a problem for you. The blanket's worth it anyway!
