The UC-200 filter does not keep calcium out of our faucet. This is disappointing. UPDATE: Upon reviewing my comment above, the company quickly contacted me by phone. Working with the Customer Support agent, Chris, I was able to determine that the major reason for the calcium deposits was caused by the instant-on hot water heater that supplies the entire house. It was a known problem that the UC-200 was never going to solve until I replaced the ten-year-old hot water unit. Nonetheless, they sent me an upgraded replacement filter which seems to be handling the problem quite well. I am REALLY impressed with the quick, no hassle and satisfactory response I got. Who ever heard of ANY company doing something like that? I was, and remain, very impressed with the fact that the UC-200 worked as well as advertised in eliminating the odor and greatly improving the taste of our drinking water. No more Britta filters and pitchers for us.
