I am getting ready to travel, and wanted a better mask than my cloth/filter ones. Since I am not a first responder or health care professional, I decided on KN95. I purchased these, and really like how they fit both my wife and myself. I decided to give this mask a couple of simple at-home tests to really see how they hold up: 1) The Water Test: I filled it with water and then let it sit for five minutes. Not a drop spilled through the fabric. 2) The Candle Test: I pushed my mask to about 4 inches from my face and blew as hard as I could. The flame didn’t move. 3) The Smell Test: This test is simple: you wear a mask, and see if you can smell something with a strong odor. I tried it with a lavender spray my wife has. Without my KN95 mask, I was able to smell the candle quite well from 3-4 feet away. With the mask, barely detectable and had to get within inches of where the spray originated. All-in-all, very happy with this purchase!
