Love this Oracle! Only two minor things...
I was so happy and excited when I discovered that my favorite artist, Danielle Noel, was working with creator Rebecca Campbell to bring this magical oracle to fruition! It was a very unique touch to the introduction of this deck by offering those who had purchased it a special oracle card activation ceremony, which I tuned in live on Zoom! It was lovely to hear these two women speak about the deck and their experience together creating it- great job, ladies!
After receiving this deck, I took time to go through and read each card. This is something I usually don't do for my oracle decks, as I like the knowledge to come to me when I need it and not know what is in the deck to be seen. However, the beautiful artwork intrigued me and I couldn't resist. Along the way, I noticed a couple of cards that seemed odd amongst the others in the deck and this is why my review is lacking 1 star. I am a spiritual person, but I do not necessarily conform to one religion or another. I found the "Anna, Grandmother of Jesus" quite out of place. The message is beautiful, but the "Star Mother" card would have sufficed enough and encompassed all of this message for me. In fact, I actually have not once thought about the fact that Jesus had a grandmother (Not to make light of it, but it is true!) Although the card really got me thinking about Christianity in a new light (my family is Christian and Catholic based), it wasn't what I was after while posing my morning questions to the tarot and oracle. I also found the card "Trust the Niggle" to be odd. I know the term niggle is used in reference to a slight annoyance in a negative sense, but I feel this could have been replaced by some other word that gives way to our natural born intuition and the advice for us to trust in that feeling. The card in itself is a "niggle" to this entire deck, for me. I am debating on taking these two cards out of the deck for my readings, but it does make me sad to do so as their intentions are good, but poorly executed. Plus, the deck only has 44 cards and I would be losing 2. (Most oracle decks that I have had have around 50 or more cards).
Overall, I am still very excited and in love with this oracle. The artwork along is breath taking and as every tarot and oracle reader knows, interpretations vary from reader to reader. You may take away from this deck what serves you and leave the rest!
