We recently got rid of some nonstick coated metal egg rings because they were a PITA to clean. I knew silicone egg rings existed and ended up deciding on these. As with all other online reviews you have to take them with a grain of salt and pass them through your own filter. I found that many of the negative reviews stating the rings leak egg out are certainly due to user error based on their own pictures. There is a top and bottom to the egg ring, the smaller diameter should be facing up. If you place it with small diameter on bottom the attachment point of the lifting arm prevents full contact of the silicone ring to pan and results in improper egg sealing. There are no instructions included or markings in the mold stating this, so it’s hard to fault those negative reviews. We used them with some avocado oil and they worked perfectly. They clean up 100x easier than the old metal ones, and they’re dishwasher safe. What else can you ask for at less than $10. They are bigger diameter than the old ones but still fit on an English Muffin just fine. So if you’re looking to pick up a silicone egg ring this should work for you...unless you’re the type of person who needs a “CAUTION: HOT!” warning on coffee. Then maybe you shouldn’t be running a stove.
