Little sticky circles are for back up .
It's by far the best case I've come across. It's not as bulky but it definitely protects the phone . I've had this case for over a year. Dropped it on several occasions from different heights and my phone has stayed in tact and safe from any serious damage. I am please that if i were to buy this case again it will be for a different color (:
