Bad reviews prompted me to buy this!
I read good reviews, bad reviews and all the in-betweens. Generally, bad reviews tell me why I shouldn't buy a product. In this case, the bad review tells me this massager is just what I am looking for. I received it today, tried it and it worked like it should.
For those who complained it hurts, they have no idea what massages are suppose to do, they have no clue what is going on in their bodies. Massages are supposed to hurt. No kidding! Due to bad posture or overuse, muscles get knotted up (lactic acid buildup) and cause pain or discomfort. Massage relieves the tension/buildup by breaking up the knots. The massager need to really push and knead to disperse these pockets of high concentration of lactic acid. Just rubbing on the surface may be soothing, but it does nothing to those areas of pain.
Depending on how bad the knots are, it may take a few to many sessions of deep shiatsu massage to rid the problem spot/area of pain.
Some complained that it hurts worse the next day. Well, that just means it is working. The lactic acid is now diffused over a larger area and is more accessible for the body to take away and eliminated. The pain over the larger area usually takes a few days to a week to disappear.
I hope this wil help those who read the bad reviews.
