Replacing succulents with plants that actually want to be loved
For months I have existed in a constant state of torment and emotional despair. Like most millennials, I bought succulents thinking ‘how cute’ and ‘how trendy’, never knowing that, in the following weeks to come, every spritz of water would result in my psychological decay. ‘Did I water it too much?’ I’d ask as a leaf shriveled and fell to the floor. Then, after a week of not watering and after TEN leaves had fallen, I’d ask, ‘Wait, am I not watering enough??’
THANK THE HEAVENS FOR THIS BONSAI.
It likes water (!!! Whaaaaat??) It enjoys a routine. Dare I say it THRIVES on my windowsill, towering over the dead and dying succulents in a way that says, ‘thanks person who bought me! i love life!’
If I had the space, I’d buy ten of these just out of spite for the cacti graveyard I’ve got going on.
