I received the bag 9/21/17 so I've only had it a couple weeks. This review is on the quality, size, and musky leather smell. Phew! It's true, it is a strong scent but not unpleasant. It's sun-cured without chemicals, as described in enclosed literature. The size is perfect for 2-3 day trip, deep main compartment, and the ends hold plenty, as well. The strap is probably too long because you want it to ride at hip level. I'm 6'3" and I have it set at the shortest length and it's still just under my hip. No biggie, I'll expertly drill two more holes and that should do the trick. Note To KPL: Save on leather and shorten the strap. Most importantly, the quality is top notch. Rivets on straps are sturdy, should strap is reinforced with an edge sewing, handles are very good, and the zippers aren't flimsy. Well done on the quality. AND all this for $100!
