My friend had the shiatsu neck & back massager from Brookstone which had tremendously helped my whiplash pain and tense neck/shoulders. I've had this one running for about 45 minutes now, straight out of the box. I can say this, I feel the heat more in this one which is nice. However, the kneading doesn't feel as "deep" but only by a little less. For the money, I think it is a wonderful product. It is easy maneuverable to different areas of the body, especially the upper back, shoulders and neck. I definitely recommend it for anyone with tense neck muscles and possibly whiplash with consult with your medical provider!!
