spendy but comfortable and seem to aid recovery
Although still on the spendy side for a pair of socks, these were the best value I could find in compresion type socks. They seem well made and are comfortable to wear, whether working out in them or lounging around afterwards. They have additional padding in the foot and ankle areas. I wear a size 12 shoe and have about a 15.5 inch calf. The large size fit me well and as these are sized for your feet vs. your calf circumference. I won't go to a smaller size even if I had skinny calves as the sock padding along the foot fits perfect. They are a bit long and I need to fold them down about an inch or so to keep them from going up onto the knee, however doesn't seem to effect the comfort or wear at all. The large should work on a person up to 6,6" of so without issue. I put them on for a run and walk on the treadmill (4.5 miles) when I first got them. Can't say I noticed a lot of performance benefits while working out, but they were comfortable and didn't slide around in the shoe even when mixing up the speeds and inclines quite a bit. Didn't effect my minor shin splints at all. Afterwards though I did feel they helped me feel better more quickly then I normally do. I also wore them overnight and found them comfortable and that my legs felt more refreshed in the morning. In fact I just ordered the white pair to go along with my original black pair. Sizing as listed on a chart on the box, based on shoe size: Women XS 3-6 S 6.5-8.5 M 9-11 L 11.5+ Men S 5-7.5 M 8-10 L 10.5-14
