I bought this after my wife saw this in a Vietnamese newspaper in Arlington @ Eden center. They wanted 400 for it. So i ordered for 300 on Amazon. This machine is great but there are some issues. 1 First of all if you are Asian and plan to make noodles out of rice, tapioca starch, etc you will quickly find this machine does not work for that. 2 The recipes in the book work because they are tried and true. I would suggest looking at the cookbook that comes with it first before you buy this. 3 If you are just a pasta eater and want spaghetti, pasta, noodles (wheat, semolina, buckwheat etc) this is for you. If not don't purchase it. 4 The machine does not like a dough this even slightly wet because it sticks to the extruder screw and will not move toward the in feed for extruder 5 The recipes that it has tend to make a slightly dry noodle/pasta that is slightly rough in appearance. The ones with egg are smoother. 6 If you want to experiment find a place that will take this back like "Williams and Sonoma" or here on Amazon and do your experimenting. This was you will not end up having to sell this at a garage sale because its novelty wore off because it wouldnt do what you want. 7 Pasta is cheap so you will have to make a lot of it to justify the expense of this machine and then you also have to buy the ingredients. 8 REPEAT .....IT DOES NOT WORK FOR ASIAN NOODLES THAT ARE NOT MADE OF FLOUR (RICE, POTATO STARCH, TAPIOCA STARCH)
