I’ll start with the great. We use this playmat in our living room every day for our infant son. We have tile, so it was important when he started rolling/being mobile, he had a soft pad to play on. I sweep it, and clean it with an all natural disinfectant everyday. It’s very stylish and people often think it’s a rug. The mat will be going into his room within the next month or so when it’s ready (in process of setting up). Now the not so good. Mysterious staining. We have not spilled anything on this mat in the 2 months we have had it. We have had spit up, but not even a diaper overflow on this mat. I see “urine and coffee may leave surface stain” - but we haven’t had any of that on this mat. Like I said, I keep it pristinely clean because my baby is on it most of the day. I don’t even allow shoes on in our home, so no one even walks on this mat with shoes on. I am unsure where the stain came from. I cannot get it out. There’s about 4 of these spread out across the mat. The latest one is the most noticeable, to the point where I will be moving it out of this room.
