Throw out the steel strings, put on a set of ball end nylon strings!
This guitar comes with steel strings, but it's a guitar designed for nylon strings. It requires a lot of tension to bring a steel string into tune and this guitar doesn't have the structural integrity to handle that tension. When the steel strings are tuned they don't stay tuned because the tension is warping the neck and box out of whack. This tension can pull the bridge off too (as reported in some reviews).
Nylon strings require less tension.

SO, first thing you need to do when you get the guitar is throw the steel strings away. Just take them off and throw them away. Get a set of ball-end nylon guitar strings and put them on instead. I put these on: Ernie Ball Earthwood Folk Nylon Ball End Set, Clear and Gold, but as long as they're ball end I think any of the nylons would work. Ball end is important because they'll work with this guitar.
Put them on, allow for some time for the new strings to stretch until they can hold a tune (about a day?) and this guitar is amazingly good for the price. The guitar now holds a more consistent tune up and down the neck. The steel strings didn't have a consistent tune up and down the neck because the tension was warping the neck. Another plus is that the nylon strings are a lot easier on the fingers for newby players.
