I have taken full advantage of the ring 2.0 security system. My home wiring box now glows with an Ominous red glow or a cheerful blue at night. Tips to deal with interference/weak sensor signal: if your trying the same way I did and mount ur base station in ur home wiring closet make sure to place the device up high and In the upper right or left corner of your wiring box so you can mount it with Velcro across the “top n side” that touches a wall. If you tuck it in too deep in the wiring closet it makes it harder for the ziggbee signal to get out. I even have this base station sitting next to Phillips hue smart bridge. I did have to change the ziggbee channel on the hue bridge. This also helped with interference. Take advantage of the base station having battery backup. When plugged in directly to the socket you will get push notifications when power is lost and restored. This is a really nice feature. My house came with linked smoke/co2 detectors. If one goes off the others do too. This meant I only needed one ring smoke detector co-listener. I placed a flood and freeze sensor behind my washer/dryer. One ring stickup cam with solar in the backyard. One stickup cam in the garage. One ring doorbell pro. Yes I will add a few more cams. :::update now at six cameras. You can adjust the cameras on ur dashboard to an OCD pleasing order.:::: Yes I went all the way on this setup but it was fun making it all work together. Now my house talks/chirps! And my Wiring closet looks like giant HAL 9000 AI! If your a tech person go with this and get exactly what you want!
