It will take time and work. Apply more than what you think you’ll need!
I purchased the color “peachtree” and I love the out come! When I first opened the package, the color was more closer to the color orange. From the reviews, I knew it would be more of a Honey blonde/Auburn color. I have very dark hair and After installing it came out just as I expected which I LOVEEEED! Take note when you apply this color on to wet(not soaked) hair , it will look blonde/Gold at first but as it dries it will Oxidize. I highly recommend to use latex gloves when applying because it will get really messy and also by using the latex gloves, the product will easily glide on to wet hair instead of sticking all over the palm of your hands and getting stuck into your nails. The consistency of the wax feels like a rich cream but isn’t all that moisturizing after it’s dried completely. I ended up using half of the jar on my hair because I really wanted to be able see the color. Because of that, your Hair will get really crunchy after it’s completely dried. Breaking the coat off by fluffing will fix though. Hair wax does not flake or transfer AT ALL after it’s completely air dried. All together installation took 4 hours total(Only because my hair needed to air dry). Here are the exact steps I took to achieve this look and non flaking:
1. Wash, condition, and Used a small to fair amount of curling cream and eco style gel All over your hair.
2. Let Hair air dry completely over night
3. Next day; section off small to medium amounts hair, spray hair until damped(I recommend use a spray mist bottle), use defining brush to get hair nice and detangled before applying Hair color wax.
4. Apply a GENEROUS amount of hair color wax to wet(Not soaked)hair and work it in each section. (Wax WILL start to absorb Into your hair so apply more than what you think you’ll need.)
5. After applying all over, APPLY A LITTLE MORE! (Trust me, you’ll thank me later)
6. Let hair air dry completely.(Don’t use blow dryer unless you want a lot of flaking)
7. CRUNCH, PULL, FLUFF hair. You will have to break the coat off of your hair from the wax on your hair to achieve your Volume back. It might also help to use a Afro pick. (note hair will feel some what sticky if it’s not completely dried)
8. Remember not to apply any product or any water to your hair afterwards or color WILL come off and transfer. Oil is OK.
UPDATE: After receiving so many compliments, I decided to try a different color “Dragon Fruit”. I loveee the color but my advice to you is to LAY FEW TOWELS DOWN! Lay them down when applying ANY whenever you fluff, unravel or style your hair. This color got everywhereeeee 😫. I Was very careful and it still got every where. Idk what happened honestly. I followed all my previous steps except I applied a little bit of leave in conditioner and had tons of flaking and it transfer soo easy! I honestly think it’s leave in conditioner. I’m not sure but I’d still recommend!
