★★★★☆
With new and improved tether
This isn't the highest quality product, but I give it 4 stars for overall size, quality, and affordability. Many other car seats out there are very expensive (some over 200$) and many seemed like they would be too small for my ~23lb bichon.
Pros:
Large size
Washable cover (polyester canvas and lamb skin)
More than sturdy enough to handle any dog you could fit
Has a strap with carabiner to attach to a harness
Cons:
Pieces are a little hard to put together, but manageable
Cover fits a little awkwardly, what you would expect for something that is supposed to be formfitting, but mass produced
Fake lambskin fabric is considerably lower quality than what is typically used with pet products, may become threadbare with repeated washing
Lambskin cover attaches with velcro - could be a problem if your dog digs a lot
Included pillow is VERY thin
No padding at all for the walls
Things to note:
Some reviews complained that the clip was low quality and broke. Mine came with a hefty carabiner and strap that is different than the product picture. It looks like the company listen and responded with upgrading those parts.
I'm not sure if other reviews mentioned that the harness attachment strap actually attaches to the seat belt (where it is threaded through the car seat) and not the carseat itself. That makes it a little more tricky to set up in your car, but it also means you don't have to depend on the carseat to hold your pet in place.
I included some pictures of the pictures before, during and after putting it together so you can see what I'm talking about (sorry they are a bit out of order).
