Just wanted to let folks know I've had this fountain for over a year, & mine has an in-line on/off switch. It's gotten that nice verdigris patina as well. It makes a very pleasant, soothing sound, which you can change with the adjustable water flow setting on the pump. Don't even try to set the pump in the bottom first & place the top with the connecting tube on top of it. It won't work! Just put the pump on the tube & place them in the bottom resevoir together, being certain the power cord is facing the exit slot for it. I love this fountain. The only thing they might have added is a small light for night time, but I suppose I could get a stick on led if I missed it that much. I added the colored glass stones.
