I am a 60 year old caucasian woman with yellow undertones and a heart shaped face. You will have to adjust these instructions to your coloring, your face shape and your skin. Contouring is a art! If done properly it fools the eye, drawing attention to the your best features while not highlighting your worst features (in my case wrinkles.) I had to play with it, study it and UTUBE it. I recommend you do the same! This I know... for the aging face you want a moist look! I recommend the Cream kit not the powder kit. Powder is not a mature woman's friend!!!! 1. To clean face I apply ROC Multi Correxion 5 in1 chest neck and face cream and then Aquarphor under eye area 2. Apply a Dewy Base make up two shades darker than normal or after contouring you look ghostly. I use Estee Lauder Perfectionist cashew which is my summer makeup. I use this base with self tanner for summer. 3. Your face should be greasy! You can reduce shine by a dabbing towel AFTER contouring but you want a dewy finish. The contouring cream will soak up some of the moisture as you applied it. 4. Use guide in kit for YOUR face shape. Contour SMOOTHEST areas on face. I PERSONALLY use the white and make lines in V shape under eyes-* Do not put contour cream on under - eye wrinkles or it will get in creases and highlight the wrinkles( young women put white under eyes), I highlight forehead & chin, I fill in marionette lines and down turned mouth corner lines. Highlight check bones with the peach color for blush and use lighter brown at hairline, my jaw, my check bones are pronounced so I don't contour them.I also like to line my lips because it helps to keep lip stick from bleeding. 5. LIGHTLY blend with brush in circular motion until you no longer see contour lines. 6. I Line lips with Revlon color stay lip liner and add lip stick avoiding the lip liner. Stay away from really dark lipsticks it will date you. 7. If you look too shiny lightly dab face with towel. You should look dewy. The lighter contour color will draw the eye to your smoother less wrinkled features and will get rid of marinette shadows. The darker colors kind of frame the face and can change the shape of your nose or accent cheek bones. 8. EYES - I line my upper lids only and I use only mascara on my upper lids because I want to draw attention away from my lower eye bags. I use earth tones more natural colors for eye shadow or nothing at all. If eye shadow shows creases use nothing at all. Nothing more aging than make up that shows creases. I personally have more success with powder eye shadow but you will have to figure that one out by trial and error. Remember ladies as we get older less is more... I hope this was helpful! Good Luck!
