This is truly another great purchase from Komal Passion Leather. She obviously takes a great personal interest in making sure her customers are satisfied. I purchased the 15" Buffalo Leather briefcase/messenger bag first, and i was so satisfied that i decided to expand my horizons and purchase this 21" goat skin leather duffel bag and the 16" goat skin backpack/ruck sack (which i had to purchase on her website since amazon was out). in addition i have also purchased the KomalC buffalo skin toiletry bag as well, just to complete the ensemble. That's 4 bags total from this company, all because of her outstanding prices and quality for the money. Now to review this bag: This bag is quite a bit bigger than i thought it would be. The quality of the leather is excellent. As for me, i live in south florida where the humidity can reek havoc on leathers stored away in a closet, so i treated mine right away with Fiebings Mink Oil conditioner. This made the leather very supple and gave it a beautiful golden patina. Mine came a slight shade lighter than pictured in the ad, but after treatment it glows an amber brown...just beautiful (see picture below). Out of the box i inspected all the seams, rivets, and zippers to see if there were any defects...NONE found. This is a quality leather bag. I expect to have this for many years to come and i look forward to growing old gracefully with it!! P. S. as far as the smell? Like so many others have stated...it smells like leather...period....Any smell on it should dissipate with time, right now I'm enjoying the smell of rich leather while i can :}
