It's a French Press, it presses ground up coffee beans and hot water in a French manner. You don't have to speak or even be French to use it so that is a big plus in my book, since I have never even been to France. It is also very versatile, as it can be used with Sumatran, Italian and even Guatemalan coffee beans. Those are the only ones I have tested so far but I am sure it can be used with most other types of coffee beans. I am pretty sure the water does not have to be French either, so long as it is hot. In all, I have enjoyed the coffee produced by this French Press. Would recommend this to anyone who enjoys coffee, French or otherwise.
