With a week long sailing trip at sea coming up, I was looking for a resilient container that delivered on its promise of cold water. I’m one of those people that want water so cold their teeth ache.. until this bottle, nothing has come close. I hate shilling for a company, but when they deliver what they promise, I have to at least recognize them for it. This is a da*n good product. As far as some of the negatives I read: Metallic taste. I’ve worked with Stainless Steel in food production. Nothing in metal gives off a taste. That is caused from one of two reasons a) lipids causing oxidation (in which case, clean the bottle & check your water supply, or b) see a Dr and get your kidney & liver checked. Words wear off Bottle: Gawd I hope so. The bottle folks did well on delivering cold... they suck at graphic design. Straw: It’s long. Not too long. Hey... it came in the bottle! Will an inflexible straw attached to a fixed point on the lid get every last drop? No. This shouldn’t be news. I’m a caveman. If I want that last drop, the lid comes off and the bottom of the bottle goes up in the air. Whistle: Mine is silent. I feel cheated. That 3 mile whistle would seem to come in handy when calling my dog, getting attention of Search & Rescue, or annoying the neighbors with the pool who never have you over. I want my da*n whistle! All seriousness. Good bottle. Does what it says. Floats. Easy to hold onto. Oh, if anyone knows what that rubber band along the bottom is for, let me know. I feel like the cool kids are keeping a secret from me.
