Dying battery
When I bought this little guy, I sharpened the blade and got it right to work. It cut the grass beautifully and didn't bog down. I have ~3000 square feet and it had no trouble finishing. It takes a few more passes than a larger mower, but it isn't a large yard, so I didn't have a problem with it. I really liked that it was small and didn't take a lot of storage.
Fast forward 9 months. I cannot cut my whole yard without recharging the battery! I've noticed that each time I cut it, the battery lasts a shorter and shorter time.
I also had a problem with the wheel height lock. I set them to the middle and any time I backed even a little (it is kind of hard to turn around without backing just slightly with one wheel) it kicked the wheel to the lowest setting, bringing it off balance. I've since zip-tied the height springs so that they can't stretch and loosen -- it seems to have fixed the problem.
I thought I had already updated this review. A Worx rep called me and replaced my battery free of charge -- it was still under warranty. The new battery has been working great ever since. It must really have been a defective battery.
