Ahhh. Takes me back......My mother made a " from scratch fruitcake ", every Christmas. Tons of containers of candied fruits, raisins, nuts of all kinds etc. Then she soaked cheesecloth in a liquor and wrapped it, staying moist for weeks. When I got married, I could not afford all the ingredients. Discovered, Claxton. At the time, I was the only one who loved fruitcake, so, just the right size for " that taste of home. " Now, I am a senior citizen, who is homebound. I could never stir that batter, with my arthritis. Hello! Claxton to the rescue, AGAIN. Received them today, September 28, 2017. Can't find an expiration date, to save my soul; but, VERY moist and fresh. Snuggly packed and well wrapped. Full of candied fruit, raisins, nuts, with very little cake batter. YEA!! Wish I still had all my teeth for chewing it; however, I am managing just fine....ha ha ha ha. Truly, an early Christmas gift to myself!!! Delicious!
