I wore this on a recent 6 hour flight. I had the most bizarre dream on the plane, which I directly attribute to this pillow: I was sitting, hugging my knees to my chest inside a huge toilet bowl. My head was the only exposed part of me, and it was sticking up out of the oven-sized toilet, with the toilet seat somehow securely wrapped around my neck . I couldn't really move my arms or legs much, just turn my head from side to side, and look up and down. However, I was able to control the toilet with my mind and just zoom around down the street and up onto sidewalks and whatnot. At one point, I was merging onto the highway to get to work, and traffic was kind of terrible. Someone changed lanes without looking and was about to side swipe me, so I tried desperately to honk my horn, but there was no horn, just flushing instead... all I could do was just frantically flush my toilet vehicle. Right as the oblivious car swerved into my lane and slammed into me doing about 90mph, I abruptly woke up. I was so startled, I panicked for a split second thinking my head was still trapped in the toilet seat on account of the shape and position of the neck pillow. I was agitated and clawing at the pillow... then I came to and realized my flailing probably really spooked the stranger in the seat next to me. So naturally I blurted out: "Sorry I thought I was still stuck in the toilet when it crashed!!!! " I think the people in the seat behind me also heard me say that. Had to avoid eye contact with everyone for the rest of the flight. But what's really important here is, I was able to sleep on the plane!!!! I've NEVER been able to do that before, and I have tried similar inflatable neck pillows and whatnot. This cushion is not inflatable. The stuffing is not memory foam or microbeads either. It's got a nice firmness to it, yet it's pleasantly squishy. The case is a super soft velour type fabric. Its a biiit thicker and wider than other neck pillows, which I really appreciated. It snaps closed in front too, which is a nice touch. I got the purple one. Also, if you wait and try to buy something like this at an airport, I guarantee it's gonna cost you 2-3 times as much. Long story short... Something about this stuffing/size/fabric/design just really clicks with me and it's the only way I can sleep on flights. So yeah, I love this pillow... in spite of the awkward side effects.
