On the whole this is a great product. Similar to other kettles it has the base that connects to the electrical outlet and the kettle sits on top of this base (so the kettle doesn’t need a power cable attached to it). The positives: doesn’t flavor the water with plastics, nice clear container, cool lights, and looks good on the counter. The negatives: it is much slower than some (more expensive) kettles (I had a cuisinart CPK-17 before that was much faster) due to this being 1100 Watts vs my previous kettle which was 1500 Watts. The other negative is there is no beep when the kettle finishes boiling, just a barely audible click of the mechanical switch turning off. On the whole a great product for $25 but the cuisinart is a better product if you want to splash out $75 (one negative on the cuisinart, its difficult to see the water level ... so nothing is perfect). I will also add that KNDirect the seller was very good and even provided up some follow up to my review. A good small business!
