When I purchased this top coat, I was all but ready to yank my own hair out from frustration over my nails. I would paint them very early in the day, secure my polish with one or more top coat, and wake up the next morning with sheet marks all over my nails. Solid colors were out of the question simply because of this. So, out of desperation, I decided to give Seche Vite a try. I decided right off the bat to put this stuff to the test. I applied two coats of nail polish and followed up immediately with this top coat. I followed the directions, applying it by letting a bead drop onto each nail and moving the bead along the entire nail. I thought to myself, "There is no way this is going to dry; it goes on way too thick." Roughly five minutes later, I checked my nails. When I applied Seche Vite, my nails were tacky to the touch. Not after this stuff dried! Every one of my nails was silky smooth with a shine to die for. This was wonderful and all, but I still had my doubts about what my nails would look like the next morning. I decided again to put this stuff to the test by going to bed within an hour from when I painted my nails. When I woke up, I was thrilled to pieces to see my nails didn't have the first sheet mark on them. I think I cried a little. I will never use another top coat as long as I live. I know other reviewers mentioned the smell, and while the smell isn't pleasant, it's not overpowering. I personally had to lean into the bottle to even smell it. Other reviewers who claim it doesn't work are surely not applying it like the directions say since it really is a little backward from how most of us are used to applying a top coat. It needs to be applied exactly as the directions say: let a bead of the top coat fall onto your nail and spread it over the entire nail. It really does work. I couldn't be happier with this product!
