After reading the somewhat mixed reviews of this product here on Amazon, I decided to give this product a try. Somehow, rats had invaded my house, and they were eating EVERYTHING! They even ate through the plastic tube water supply lines to my dishwasher, causing it to fail. I called the exterminator (at great cost) and while they plugged up holes into the house and laid snap traps, the traps were ineffective. I also tried rat sized glue traps, but they would not hold a rat for long. A few rats were trapped with the snap traps, and a few with the glue traps-- and even my son's pit bull caught one. But rat activity continued. At wits end, I bought this product. I tossed some up in my attic and waited. No immediate joy. They were still scuttling around in the ceiling, screaming, usually right after twilight. It made it hard to sleep at night. At any rate, there is a coat closet in my living room. I noticed a rat sized hole in the corner on the floor of the closet, so I left 3 of these 'pellets' in there. The next day the pellets were gone. So I put 3 more in the closet, and the next day those were gone too. This went on for about a week, until one day the pellets stayed in the closet. I assumed the foraging rats took it back to their nest, where they ate them (and eventually died). So now it has been 2 weeks and there is no sign of rat activity. Unfortunately, there is a horrid smell of dead rats rotting in the walls/ceiling, but that eventually went away. I now sleep soundly. I HIGHLY RECOMMENDED THIS PRODUCT!
