Bests & Worsts Reviews from Amazon

Parks & Rec is one of the top streaming shows of all time. How long will NBC continue to let it make money for someone else? I bought this DVD set because with every network launching its own streaming platform, it will only be a matter of time before we can't stream it the way we want to anymore. I haven't even taken the shrink wrap off. This is an insurance policy. That sounds a little extreme. Why would a person do something like that? We love this show in my house. We watched every episode when it aired, and it still gets played weekly. This is the show we watch when we've had a terrible day, or when we just want to laugh but don't have the time to get invested in something new. It makes you feel good, and it always stays funny. It followed the mockumentary-style of The Office, but where the office had incompetent people treating each other horribly, Parks & Rec features incompetent people who always (eventually) build each other up. If you haven't seen the show, watch the first episode to meet the characters, and then jump straight to season 3. The first two seasons are worth watching eventually, but there's a definite "Office" aftertaste that makes some of the characters less likable. By season 3, the show has found its own voice and continues to shine all the way to the end.
