HOLY SH*T, IT WORKS!!!!!!
There can't be a bigger skeptic than me. I'm 46, 5'6" and a size 14. I've had cellulite since H.S. (and I was a fit 125lb cheerleader), I'd nearly given up and just accepted the shame of having my mother's lumpy legs. It was so bad, you could see it through pants. *sigh* Three weeks ago, I committed to one last Hail Mary to give it all I had before completely throwing in the towel and accepting my "fate". I hit the gym HARD, I cut nearly all carbs (yes, that means the wine too), cut all sugar and ate a clean diet of 3 meals a day and a snack or two. AND I ordered the Fascia Blaster. IT HURTS LIKE A M@THER. BUT IT WORKS! I'm not going to sugar coat this, it feels like a rolling pin of needles and I bruised like someone beat me with a baseball bat. No, I didn't apply too much pressure, I just held it against me and rolled. Very little pressure is needed. Here's what I did, and you can do it too! 1. I changed my diet. Cellulite is fat, I knew if I wanted to reduce the appearance of fat, it doesn't make sense to keep packing it on. I cut all sugar and all carbs. (Now, I say all, but it's nearly impossible to avoid all carbs so if you intentionally cut out everything that's an obvious carb, you'll probably still get some good carbs like tomatoes) Carbs turn to sugar. The body has to either burn it as energy or store it as fat. Sugar is easier to convert to energy than fat, so the body will burn off the sugar in your bloodstream before it burns the stored fat you're trying to get rid of. So, not only are you NOT getting rid of fat off your body, if the sugar's not burned off as energy, it's now stored as more fat. Eat clean, cut the crap and eat real food you can pronounce. Cook at home. Yes, leaner cuts of meat and fresh produce are slightly more expensive, but it's still cheaper than dining out. 2. SWEAT! I hit the gym at least 5 days a week. I do cardio (30-60 min of intense cardio) and some kind of muscle building, resistance training (I do 60 minutes of Body Pump at Gold's 2-3x's a week) and I alternate cardio/resistance days. I'm trying to reduce the appearance of fat, so I need to reduce the fat on me. I figured out what my target heart rate zone was for fat burning and I would aim for that, hit that range for a few minutes let my heart rate come down then take it back up. Since the goal was to reduce my cellulite on my thighs, it was important that I tone them too. SQUATS, LUNGES, SQUATS AND MORE LUNGES!!! Seriously. 3. STRETCH. This is important, do not skip the stretching. Muscles will contract and will make the appearance of cellulite worse the more they contract. Stretching them when they're warm after a workout is important for lean, smooth legs. The blaster helps to relax the facia so it's not so taunt (that's the key to reducing the appearance of cellulite). The back of my legs were extremely tight before when my cellulite was horrible. I used the blaster and stretched and I really believe it helped me get quicker results. Dancers are always stretching, have you ever seen a dancer that didn't have amazing legs?! Trust me. 4. Roll when your muscles are warm. When I got home from the gym, I immediately took a hot shower, put on my oil and rolled for 3 minutes in each section. If you haven't watched the YouTube videos on the Fascia Blaster, you need to. You need to use some kind of massage oil to roll. Once I was done rolling, I would gently, but firmly, massage arnica oil on the areas. Massages help to remove toxins from the tissues and assist in blood circulation... which is essential for the blaster to be effective on your cellulite. 5. Sleep. It's important that you give your body the rest it needs to heal and you'll need the energy for your workouts. I get 7-8 hours of sleep a night. So, I used the blaster 2 weeks ago for the first time. I used it the first night for 3 minutes on each area and it hurt like HELL. Like rolling needles up and down my legs. I massaged my legs after. I was bruised like a leopard the next day. The areas with the worst cellulite had the worst bruising. I used the blaster the next day again on the areas that didn't bruise from the night before. The 3rd day my bruising was horrible. I decided to let my bruises heal before using it again. I haven't used it since. My bruises are nearly gone and nearly all my cellulite!!! Yes, you heard that correctly, I used it 2x's 2 weeks ago and my cellulite is nearly gone!!! I WILL ALWAYS USE MY BLASTER!! -Oh, and the pain gets less with every use as your fascia relaxes. Nope, I don't have before pics to show you, there was no way I was taking photos of those legs!!! -But, I'll be posting after photos as soon as all my cellulite is gone. :-) Lastly, I did not receive any compensation or products for my review, this is a completely independent review based on my own experience.
