I purchased this handy mirror to use at home and take with me when I travel. With the 10x magnifier and light I can finally see what needs fixing. The light is not glaring or too harsh. The suction on the base is quite strong so no worries of it falling. I placed it on top of a makeup vanity that sits on my bathroom sink counter. This allows me to have it 9" closer to my face. Twelve inches would be ideal but I can slide the makeup vanity closer. I tried it suctioned to the bathroom vanity mirror but had to lean way over the counter to get close enough. The only thing I can see that would make this product better (and a five star rating) would be to put an adjustable arm on it to allow one to bring the mirror forward when using.
