Quick easy set-up!
I was watching the news and they mentioned shutdowns….oh oh...better come up with entertainment for the hubby. It'll be like having a caged lion around here. So, being the wonderful wife I occasionally pretend to be...I jumped on amazon and started looking for something and ran across this spa. I thought 400 bucks instead of 4000, it's worth a try, even if we only use it for a couple months. So I ordered it and it arrived in just a couple days. First thing I did was lay everything out and discovered no instructions in the box. I contacted seller and requested a PDF and received it a few days later. Meanwhile...onward to You Tube! Watched a video and proceeded from there. Out to the patio I dashed with the shovel and cleared away the snow. Laid everything out and proceeded to fill the tub with air. Meanwhile "The Man" headed to the garage to grab a hose, shaking his head at me grumbling about more snow coming tomorrow. I drained all the hot water from the water heater and topped off the spa to give it a headstart with the cold temps out. We awoke to falling snow and "The Man" giving me the I told you so face. I went to check out the spa and found that it had heated itself up to 104 degrees thru the night. As the snow continued to fall and afternoon was approaching, I talked "The Man" into a glass of wine and a dip in the spa...an hour later we emerged relaxed and happy. This spa has been the bright spot in our covid isolation. Best money I've spent in a long time. The thing is easy to maintain, well built and roomy. Soft floor and comfy sides for relaxing. It's had no problem maintaining temperature. It will drop a bit at -9 with the bubbler running, but comes right back up in no time.
Update:
Now we're over a month into the stay at home order...still using the spa and still very happy with it. I did order the Intex removeable seat for myself. I'm just under 5 feet. The spa has maintained temperature with no problem. I make sure to put the cover back on every time we use it. I found the filter closest to the pump mucks up more quickly than the other. I discovered I personally find 104 to warm for me, so we turned it down a couple degrees. Now the neighbors on both sides of us have invested into their own spas for their patios. We all social distance and have wine together a couple nights a week. Our new norm has some bright spots.
