I suffer from chronic back pain, and this is the ONLY ice pack that lasts long enough to give me relief. You must follow the instructions, as you need to place it inside the polar fleece pouch BEFORE you place it in the freezer. Also, note that their is a top & bottom...it makes a BIG difference. The design is very interesting, in that this ice pack actually draws the heat away from the injured area, and the blue nodes add the cold. Although they advertise that it lasts 8 hours, as was able to get just over 9 hours with it. I like that it is reusable, and a BIG NOTE...it will come out of the freezer fairly rigid (I keep my freezer very cold), but it becomes flexible after about 15 minutes, as easily forms to the body shape. It also non-toxic, so don't worry about having in your freezer with other items.
