So, it didn't really work for the mice. I bought this because I had a bit of a mouse problem (#understatement). This did not do anything to deter the mice. In fact my mouse trap practically caught a mouse under this devices nose (proverbial). if you have a mouse problem get yourself the "best mouse trap that works" (best mouse trap, awful name) cuz it caught like 8 mice for me and got rid of the infestation. I know I know, you are thinking "what about the but"? Here it goes. This thing has been wonderful for ants. My little one spreads crumbs around as though it is a full time job to do so and I haven't seen an ant all season so far. Hence the four stars. I really like this device for what it does, but it doesn't do all that it says it does. Hope this helps.
