Exactly what I needed!
Let me tell you....I have been looking for a mattress topper for a few months now. Do I go with a two inch, three inch or even a bigger one. Do I pick one with egg carton topping, or what. I had the opportunity to pick one up from Costco for around $140, and being the cheapie I am, I wanted to get the most bang for my buck. I chose this one, mainly for two reasons...first....I am not a small petite woman (not huge either), and wanted something that wouldn't buckle under my weight. I wanted it to be able to still support me and not sag over a short period of time. I was concerned that if getting a gel infused topper that it wouldn't be enough support. Secondly, I bought this particular one because it has two different foam layers, and thought if having a gel infused layer, then a foam layer that it would last longer. I had read many reviews on many different types of toppers, and found very LITTLE reviews from people who are larger like me, so I took a chance on this one. And with the price point, I figured, what the h*** I have not much to lose. Well, I have been very pleased, and my back couldn't be more happier. I've had it now for a few months and no sagging!! The guy who made the previous comment about the gel infused portion not being "gel"...well he is wrong. The top portion is gel infused, and is not simply a type of foam. It came in a sturdy box, and shrunk in a bag that I had to carefully cut into. When out, I laid it on the floor for the day. It did have a few corners that seperated, but not much (nothing that would make me want to return it), and a few corners took a few days to fully expand. It does fit the bed completely, and is 4" as stated. There was no weird smell to it either, but I am not a picky person. The problem I'm having is I can't find a fitted sheet for the bed that would fit the topper and my mattress, without spending a fortune (as I said, I am a cheapie). It's hard to find extra deep FITTED sheets without buying the whole set( I don't need the rest). For now, I put a soft blanket on top of the topper (it doesn't move) and that seems to work for now. I might try putting a king size fitted sheet on and see how it fits. Anyways, wanted to share my experience so far (if something changes, I will post) on how pleased I am with my topper...and good luck on your purchasing decision P.S. Get a good pillow to go with this, you'll want to spoil your head and neck as well!! :}
