The first thing I noticed is that my dog is totally impressed with it and she is a connoisseur of fine sleeping surfaces. Seriously I noticed right away that irregularities in the mattress were smoothed out. More important I had a great night's sleep and the pad has a luxurious feel of snuggling and contouring to you. The pad fit perfectly under my sheets and it smoothed out the wrinkles in the sheets. I would buy this again and I would recommend it to anyone. The washable zippered cover is clearly made to last --very high quality .
