This product saved me pain and money!
I have been using OraMD for a little over 3 months now. When I went to the dentist about 4 months ago, I had a 7mm pit between two of my back teeth. The dentist told me in no uncertain terms that the pit was irreversible, and if no intervention was taken, I would eventually lose a tooth. The recommended and only option given was a gingivectomy, or basically gum surgery to cut the gum back, to "make it easier to get in there and clean." Well, having a father who was a dentist, and being very particular and careful with my health, I am not one to jump the gun and go the surgical route. Afterall, it had taken me until age 44 to have this problem, so I figured it could wait awhile to be addressed. After quite a lot of research, I arrived at your website, and began to read about OraMD and its ability to eradicate 22 known types of mouth bacteria. I have had bleeding and sensitive gums for most of my life, and tend to also get mouth ulcers. Even with a dentist for a father, I didn't realize that this was actually gum disease, that would continue to progress. Sure, I used Piksters (they are little brushes that go between your teeth to clean them, not sure what the brands are in other countries, I'm in Australia now, but grew up in California), and I also flossed regularly, at the request of my dentist, but these things just made my gums bleed regularly whenever I did it, and didn't seem to have any impact on my gum or tooth health. I decided that I had nothing to lose by trying the OraMD product, and maybe something to gain, if it worked, so it was worth the money. I had also been told on more than one occasion that I had "dry mouth", so I was starting to connect the dots and realize that maybe I was more susceptible to mouth bacteria than other people, and maybe if this product really did live up to its claims, it would help me. Well, I'm here to tell you that after one week of using OraMD... the regular strength spearmint/peppermint/almond oil, my gums turned from dark, with shrunk back gum lines to light pink, and much healthier looking. They also were beginning to hurt less when I brushed. And slowly, the bleeding stopped altogether. After a month, I went back to the dentist, and after taking a look, the dentist confirmed that "whatever you are doing, you are doing a good job, there is an improvement. However, the pit is still at 5mm, and the gum surgery still needs to happen." Of course, since the dentist had told me the 7mm pit was "irreversible", and the OraMD had helped reduce it from 7mm to 5mm in a mere month, perhaps the dentist had no idea. I ignored his advice about the gum surgery, and continued to brush and gargle with OraMD. On the website, it says that you should see definite improvement in 3 months. Since I had already seen quite a lot of improvement in a month, I figured I'd give it the three months, and see what happened. When I first started using OraMD, I was brushing 3 times/day immediately after meals, as the OraMD website suggested, and also pikstering and flossing at these times. However, life gets busy, and since I'd never had any real luck with the pikstering and flossing, I decided that the real key here was the bacteria eradication from the OraMD. So I continued to use it twice per day, and to Pikster and floss prior to brushing, but was no longer very careful about brushing immediately after meals. I'm lazy, and I know I won't continue that strict regimen of right after meals for the rest of my life, so I decided to do what I thought I could handle, and see if it was enough. Flash forward to today, which is 2.5 to 3 months after my initial diagnosis. I went back to the dentist this past week. The pits around my teeth, which had all previously been between 4 - 7mm were now consistently 1-3mm. The "irreversible" 7mm pit was now a 3mm or 4mm pit, depending on the side of the tooth that was being measured. While I am very angry at my dentist for not admitting that it was their error, and that my 7mm pit actually WAS reversible, I didn't care anymore. The fact of the matter is that this product has saved me considerable money and pain with expensive gum surgery. More than that, it seems to have guaranteed that I will no longer have these problems in the future! Like many of you out there, I am always a bit skeptical of the many fly-by-night companies that pop up on the web to rip you off. However, I can tell you from first hand experience, that this is not one of those companies. Their product is indeed genuine, and for me, anyway, it has worked like magic. I have suffered with gum disease for most of my life apparently, but now I have beautifully pink, springy gums, no gum disease, and no need for surgical intervention. The money I have spent on OraMD has been worth every penny, and I will continue to use it for the rest of my life.
