Compared to OptX 20/20 ClassicReaders
My husband has been wearing prescription glasses since he was a toddler so he has a lot of experience with them. After having cataract surgery a few years ago, he no longer has to wear glasses full time but does need magnifying readers for small print.
We purchased a few of the multi-packs, including the ClassicReaders from OptX 20/20 which is the plastic style without nose pads that he prefers. While the quality of the those glasses was not optimal, they seemed suitable to keep in places around the house, garage and cars as a convenience. The frames were fragile but he was careful with opening and closing them and they lasted long enough to justify the price.
As we were getting ready to reorder, we came across these Eyekepper 5-pack glasses with spring hinges, and decided that they seemed worth a try. When they finally arrived, we were both surprised by the good quality. My husband even said that they seemed as good as any of the prescription glasses that he has worn over the years.
They are comfortable but what he likes best is that they have a much sturdier feel and he can confidently open and close them without thinking that such a simple motion will break them. These spring hinged vintage reading glasses are a good selection for anyone looking for glasses that don’t require handling with kid gloves.
