I have a Standard Poodle who is a little fussy about being clipped. This clipper does NOT get hot (HUGE bonus!) and I am able to take the dog outside and clip him anywhere he might be more comfortable, without having to search for an extension cord, and without the cord getting in the way of clipping. Outdoor clipping also helps with cleanup! Cordless makes it great to take anywhere I go. Also, the ability to change blade sizes with a fingertip, without having to find a new blade and attach it, is wonderful. Fabulous clipper! Update 3/15/2010: The clipper is still working - I have dropped it a few times, and generally have not taken very good care of it, and it still works great! I bought extra blades and I send them away to be sharpened when I feel like they're getting dull. If this one dies, I'll definitely buy another one! 3/8/2013 - clipper is still running strong!
