I use a lot of paper towels and wanted to cut back, so I ordered two sets of these towels. I was dubious about if they would really work, but pleasantly surprised that they "almost" do what they claim to do. I keep two in the bathroom and two in the kitchen. They are great for wiping up small spills, wiping down flat surfaces, such as walls and countertops, top of washer and dryer, etc. and I use one to do my dishes with. They do seem to lift up spills and grime better then an ordinary rag. Not saying you won't ever need to buy paper towels again--there are just some messes that are too icky to rinse out and you want to put those in the trash. CAUTION: They are not colorfast. In other words, I suggest before use you wash them with no other laundry (unless it's green!). Also rinse out first even after washing, as they may still be leaching green.
