Still in good shape after steady use
I am a K9 handler and use this size for a 75 pound shepherd/malinois. We've used this for training and real world now a good number of times since we've had it and the prongs aren't collapsing or bending. My furry partner hears the sound and gets very happy because the rounded tips are very comfortable for him. He is very high drive so even on a family walk with the kids we'll use this to avoid jumping at rabbits or what have you. At this point, the tiniest of pops to get his attention is all that is needed, nothing more than a flick of the wrist. I had a lady walk past me who had her dog on a rope leash, the dog was at the end of the leash, pulling her down the street, weaving all around and hopping on his back legs. The poor dog was trying to bark but was choking himself out so it was that sad, airy sound instead. The dog saw us and tried to pull the lady across the street to come to us and almost got itself hit by a passing car. She came over and commented on how calm my dog was. I said pack structure and positive reinforcement combined with corrections makes a happy dog. She saw my dogs prong collar and said 'oh you use one of those, I could never, I just love my guy too much', and off they went. She looked miserable and the dog is either going to get hit when it gets off the leash and bolts (no pack structure) or crush it's throat on the rope. Sad that my calm, happy, well trained and well mannered furry partner is considered abused but she's the 'humane' one. If you're frustrated with lack of results from other options and considering one of these, PLEASE educate yourself properly on the use (free stuff all over youtube), and consider this brand not the local PetShop brands. From a professional in the industry, these are not inhumane, lack of training and cheap knock offs are.
